Over past few days, or better say weeks we had unusually pleasant weather with cloudless skies and rather warm temperatures. It would be a shame not make most of it and get out of the house and spent some time outside.
After some initial troubles with my bike (hardly a surprise after two years of not being used) I managed to get it into working condition. It took only a moment to decide which direction to take and i was on my way.
Somehow half way through the journey i changed my mind and took a different junction and ended up in Bryngarw Park.

Bryngarw Park is a beautiful country park located in the county of Bridgend, South Wales. It spans over 113 acres of stunning parkland and gardens, offering a peaceful retreat for visitors. The park is home to a range of scenic landscapes, from woodlands and meadows to formal gardens and ponds. The grounds are perfect for leisurely walks, picnics, or simply enjoying the natural surroundings. The park is also known for its biodiversity, with a variety of bird species and wildlife inhabiting the area, making it a great destination for nature lovers.

One of the key features of Bryngarw Park is Bryngarw House, a Grade II listed building located within the park. The house was originally built in the 19th century and has a rich history. It was once a private residence but has since been transformed into a venue for events, weddings, and conferences. The house is surrounded by impressive gardens that showcase beautiful floral displays and provide a picturesque backdrop for any occasion.

After this quick stopover i continued on the cycle path all the way to Pontycymer via Llangeinor

Until next time….
